The US Department of Education just released the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/4gyqr.r.ag.d.sendibm3.com\/mk\/cl\/f\/0POJcdnHRYeF1vTgEd_oDVXgclgnaT7fShbW7XCJshrBu4E1blYV161Xj1j4HdJAbWQfbDxUiruuV1A6RP_rJRJYRxppkkjiVJ6by5jtZ5p685Ze3utvXZ45wEAN-gauNPsaO9P3LguVDWGr72hR1d_Tuq27j_FX2gALFbCP8CYsWY44QMV_-uzv-vQUOjmFu5fVe3CngkiF1tNoZBOVp9wtjR-wu1pDSWbsfagCOn4UoIwQIdmi6YJxo1EB25MetnMvyxAVbPBrRRhbBGlXpMKAP5JnExQ0jEGWKhvBNuFjyWeiwfzN2PG8_FW3IcN2i36-Y0rEZ6B9zTriX_ji8tt7v_HZXUcyaFz1lufzTKjjr-9A_3mRP-pbrQrs3Q4Da9tKDCKZZEwXAczRLzqMuneJp3KK01DorEBxwa0uJzYvMufLLu1ozzya2tFhbDZSX4xok1amHh53DoY\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COVID-19 Handbook, Volume 2: Roadmap to Reopening Safely and Meeting All Students' Needs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Volume 2 specifies ways ARP funds can be used including:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Address the impact of lost instructional time by supporting the implementation of evidence-based interventions that respond to students\u2019 social, emotional, and academic needs;\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide afterschool, or other out-of-school time programs that address students\u2019 social, emotional, and academic needs;<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Address the mental health needs of students through using funds to hire counselors and other staff;<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide integrated student supports, through the use of full-service community schools;<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide students with evidence-based summer learning and enrichment programs, including partnerships with community-based organizations.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-3747-1-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"3\" ><div class=\"panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-3747-1-0-2\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<h4>Allocations to Virginia<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the ARP funds arrive in Virginia, our state education and human service agencies will make the decisions on how to distribute funds. In terms of how these funds could be allocated to OST programs, the largest streams flow from<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER).
